Proprietary Trips
The Proprietary Trip is one of the special, highly effective programs that IEN, Inc. has
developed to accomplish the objectives of its clients. It is called a Trip
because the program culminates in a client visit (trip) to a remote money center such as
New York, London or Zurich, to meet in person with prospective capital sources.
The Proprietary Trip is one of the most powerful capital-finding tools ever developed and
can be the foundation for a networking campaign different from any other. The client
owns the trip, in that the client, who is best qualified to present the
project is basically in charge of the selling activities, with the IEN team
functioning in a support role.
The program introduces our client to as many potential sources of capital as possible in
face to face meetings, over an 8 to 10 day period. To initiate the process, IEN searches
its database of potential funding sources to match the project with appropriate types of
investors. Then, we prepare materials which package the company, specifically,
a corporate profile and an executive summary of the project. The next step is an intensive
program of communicating via telephone, with a large list of pre-selected individuals to
determine qualification and level of interest in the project. The next step is a
comprehensive mailing of materials followed by appointment setting with the interested
parties. The client will then arrive and meet with the pre-qualified, interested
prospects.
All meetings are conducted with the full in-person support of IEN. IEN provides a support
role, and assists wherever possible to help close the deal. Contact
